Acidity-Condition of illness.

The stomach normally secretes acid that is essential in the digestive process. This acid helps in breaking down the food during digestion. When there is excess production of acid in the stomach, it results in the condition known as acidity. Normally, there are some protective mechanisms against the acid, in the stomach and proximal intestine. But an imbalance between the protective mechanisms and the level of acid secretion can cause acidity.
The Problem occurs when the cells produce large amount of acid, more than your stomach needs. When this happens, we will suffer from stomach acidity. we would know if we were suffering from stomach acidity if we feel a burning sensation just above the stomach, or right below (the hollow part) our breastbone. This is the most classic sign of acidity. Other people experience acid regurgitation. This happens when we are lying horizontal on our bed. We may have a sour taste in our mouth, which resembles the taste of an orange puree that had gone stale. Acid regurgitation oftentimes results to heartburn, or that pain near the heart area.
